Job summary

Koïos Intelligence is looking for a highly skilled senior full-stack developer to join our team and contribute to Olivo, our conversational AI platform built for the insurance industry (brokerage, underwriting, renewals).

You will work across the entire stack — from user interfaces to back-end services and data pipelines — in close collaboration with our product, design, and infrastructure teams. Strong experience with Go and React is a major asset.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end features: web interfaces, back-end services, APIs, and data models
• Work with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Build responsive, accessible web interfaces with React and TypeScript
• Design and implement performant, well-tested back-end services (Go, Node.js, Python)
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices
• Take an active part in code reviews and help raise the team's quality bar
• Optimize applications for speed, reliability, and scalability
• Debug and resolve software issues across the full stack
• Estimate development effort, plan deliveries, and meet deadlines
• Collaborate with the infrastructure and operations teams on deployment, containerization, and observability
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge across the team
• Identify process improvements and stay current with emerging trends and technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 7 years of experience in software development, including significant full-stack work
• Strong command of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Proficiency with React (experience with Angular or Vue.js is a plus)
• Experience with Go for back-end service development — a major asset
• Solid knowledge of at least one other back-end language (Python, Node.js, C#, Java)
• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and cloud environments (Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure)
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern build tooling
• Solid understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and deliver on time

Nice to have

• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and microservices architecture
• Experience with conversational systems, NLP, or AI platforms
• Knowledge of the insurance or financial services domain
• Experience with data-oriented architectures (event pipelines, data warehouses)
• French/English bilingualism
