Job Summary

We are seeking a Technical IT Project Manager to join our dynamic team. At Koïos, we operate at the intersection of AI innovation and operational excellence. You will oversee the delivery of complex, AI-driven insurance solutions, ensuring that our technical architecture and business goals are perfectly aligned. This role is a growth position: you will be expected to leverage your strong technical background—ideally as a former developer or engineer to guide cross-functional teams, eventually evolving into a Technical Product Manager role as you master our stack.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large-scale IT projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and success criteria.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise potential obstacles.
• Manage project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and support throughout the project life-cycle.
• Conduct regular project meetings and effectively communicate project updates, progress, and risks to stakeholders and executive management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, designers, and business analysts, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor and control project budgets, expenses, and resource utilisation to optimise project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Evaluate project performance and conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative project management culture, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or a master degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Prior experience or domain knowledge in the insurance or fintech industry is a distinct advantage.
• Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, managing complex IT projects from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional organisational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering successful outcomes.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, software development life-cycle, and emerging technologies.
• Experience in risk management, including identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience managing the development life-cycle of AI-driven products or complex data-heavy platforms (e.g., NLP, LLMs, or automated pipelines).
• Working knowledge of low-level languages (C++/C) or strong Python proficiency to facilitate meaningful code-level reviews and technical trade-off discussions.
